SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

To work with Sprinter 2000 properly, your PC must meet at least the following hardware specifications.

Stand-alone/Client PC:
Pentium IV - 2Ghz (recommended 3Ghz), 512mb (recommended 1024mb) internal memory, 100Mb free harddisk space, Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional. (It works on Windows 95,98,ME,XP Home, but we strongly recommend to use Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional)
ADSL/DSL Internet connection. Screen resolution 1024x768

Server/Network version: (Standard version, not the Client/Server version)
Pentium IV - 2Ghz (recommended 3Ghz), 512Mb (recommended 1024mb) internal memory, 100mb free harddisk space, Novell 3.2 or higher or Windows 2000 Server or Windows XP Server and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).

Server/Network version: (Client/Server version)
Pentium IV - 3GHz, 1024Mb (recommended 2048mb) internal memory, 100Mb free harddisk space, Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
For 10 users we advice at least 1024Mb internal memory and for every 10 additional users 512mb extra internal memory. If you run more services (like exchange server or mailserver) on this server the amount of memory should even be higher.

Remote Access:
When working with remote access, like Citrix, Terminal Services or RDP then higher system requirements for the server are applicable.

General Remarks:
We always advise to use Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Professional due to it's stability and reliability. The system will work on Windows 95,98,ME,XP Home, but we strongly recommend Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional.
Servers should be equiped with a RAID 1 or RAID 5 system. This ensures you that your data is still intact when one of your harddisks crashes.

Free harddisk space:
The mentioned 100MB free harddisk space is only for the storage of the system. The free harddisk space required for the data depends on the modules you have and on the number of shipments you process.

Printers:
All documents (except thermical labels) are tested on HP printers. The thermical labels (like IATA Cargo labels) can only be printed on the Intermec PC4 label printer and requires labels of at least 10.2 x 12.5 cm.
